Estevan is a WGA television drama writer, director, and actor.

Currently, Estevan is a Staff Writer on the primetime drama Alert: Missing Persons Unit (S2) for FOX & Sony Pictures Television Studio. Estevan also recently sold his original drama pitch to Wiip after garnering interest from multiple parties. Prior to that, Estevan was a Staff Writer on a forthcoming Murder Mystery Dramedy Series for Netflix. He previously served as the Writers’ Assistant and co-wrote episode 109 of the forthcoming drama Long Slow Exhale from Creator/Showrunner Pam Veasey and Made Up Stories for Paramount Television Studios, Spectrum & BET. He worked as the Writers' PA on season 2 of the Bad Boys franchise spinoff series LA’s Finest from Jerry Bruckheimer Television for Sony, Spectrum & FOX. Estevan began his career as a Manager of Television Development & Programming at dick clark productions, penning red carpet specials for live entertainment programs including The Golden Globes, E! Live from the Red Carpet at the Oscars, The Grammys, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, The Streamy Awards and others. He was selected out of hundreds of applicants to be a 2022 fellow of the prestigious Outfest Screenwriting Lab where he was mentored by a group of notable LBGTQ+ executives and creators. He was also a participant in the inaugural 2021 SONY Pictures Television Studio’s Emerging Writers Program and his original drama pilot X was named the winner of Script Pipeline’s 2020 TV Writing Competition.

Born to Mexican immigrant parents, Estevan was raised in South-Central Phoenix, Arizona, and grew up shaped by the quick wit of queer culture and the tough Spanglish love of his dysfunctional family. He writes emotional, human experience dramas with visual style that explore the themes of otherness, sexuality, and nostalgia. Estevan received his BFA in Film & Television Studies from The University of Arizona and currently resides in Los Angeles and is repped by agents Auri Maruri and Joe Veltre at Gersh, manager John Tantillo of Tantillo Entertainment, and attorney Michael J. Castrillo at McKuin Frankel Whitehead LLP.
